Aug. 17, 2015

I got transferred to San Sebastián de Los Reyes! I'm with a missionary
named Hermana Harper who is from Washington state. She's 20 and
studied psychology before. She has only been on the mission for 4
months and is really sweet.

This week I had to say goodbye to Fabiana and her family it was so sad
but they are wonderful and are in good hands.

The area I moved into is really great, we have the mission office here
and I hear the members are wonderful. Especially our ward mission
leader.

It has been cooling down a little bit so I that is really nice.
Hermana Hillman is on her way home... Sad to see her go.

We had some really great lessons with people this week, especially
those that are from Fabianas family that came to her baptism. They are
really interested and progressing rapidly!!! They are a wonderful
family.

Well, it was an unexpected but good transfer. I'm excited to be here
with my new companion.

Aug. 11, 2015

Well, this Wednesday August 12th will mark one year of me being a missionary.... honestly where does the time go?

I like to look back now at where I was a year ago. I could not speak nor understand a word of Spanish, I really was not a patient person and I did not have a good relationship with Jesus Christ because I didn´t really understand all that he has done for me.

In this year I have learned all these things and so much more! I am so grateful I have six more months to be a missionary! It´s a great thing to be! I love it and wouldn´t change it for anything.

This week we got to visit with Liz! It was fun and I´m so glad she´s hear... BUT she didn´t get things figured out with her Visa to go to Australia so she´s going back to Holland! She leaves on Thursday but I´m glad I got to see her before she goes back.

This week we also got to go to the temple! It was a great trip, emotional because it was Hermana Hillman´s last time but it was a wonderful time to feel the spirit and enjoy our time there.

We also had a really cool district meeting this week! Basically what happened is our district leader asked us to look up scriptures about love and talk about how we need to love in regards to missionary work. I shared Moroni 7:48" 48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father withall the energy of heart, thaye may be filled with this love, whichhe hath bestowed upoall who are true followers of his Son,Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when heshall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is;that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen"

I love it because we don´t just have this perfect love Christ has for us but we really need to ask for it and work for it! When we work out of love for the people here in Spain we have more success and are happier, I know that´s true.

I love this work and I am grateful to be a part of it.

Aug. 03, 2015

I survived all of July in Madrid!!! It is still hot here but a little less intense when we´re in the shade, the sun is still really powerful though.

This week was pretty fun, a ton of people failed on us so we were walking around contacting a lot! That means my tan is even darker, I don´t think I´ve ever tanned so much in my entire life! Actually I´m positive I haven´t. Oh the Spain sun!

We did an exchange this week, I was sent Hermana Vasas to be with me for a day, she´s from Colorado and is pretty new on the mission, she´s so great! Her spanish is really good too, I love her and she´s already a great missionary.

Liz who got baptised about a month ago also just moved back to Leganés! It´s really exciting because she´s been in Holland for so long! I just love her so much!

This week was fun and long, Only 2 more weeks until my companion goes home!

Love you all

Here´s a picture of Cynthia and I, she was a bit less active while I was in Las Palmas but I got to see her the other week because she came here to get sealed to her husband in the temple! She´s amazing!

Here are pictures of the bus we went on a couple weeks ago to do an epic tour of all of Madrid.
