What a week! This week has been pretty great. I was able to finish off the transfer strong with my trio and we´re all split for the changes that happened today. Basically Hermana Ross left the area and Hermana Vilariño and I received new companions. So now we are 4 working together in Leganés. It´s going to be GREAT! Also, the best part, the two new sisters are both from... CANADA!!! Haha, my companion Hermana Hillman is from Toronto and then there´s Hermana Galvez from Calgary! So legit right!?!?! So Hermana Vilariño is from here in Spain and I think we´ll get her to like Canada. Basically I´m so excited for this transfer.

This week we received a reference from another set of missionaries, basically this lady is SO prepared and she is a blessing! We had a lot of great lessons this week, the truth is we were pretty busy as a trio and it´s good  that we´re splitting up so that we can do even more! We also had another blessing, a family that has not been coming for quite a few years has decided to come back and they have a 13 year old daughter that wants to get baptised! We´re going to start teaching her the discussions this week, she´s great and reminds me a lot of my little sister Mia.

I also went on my first exchange this week, it was fun and I really liked getting to know the other sister in our zone. She also helped me a lot in how I need to progress.

But, with this transfer I will be going on a LOT more exchanges because I am a... sister training leader. I am excited for the opportunity to serve the hermanas here in my zone. I´m excited for this transfer.

Also, we had a really funny experience with a "polilla" on the train this week, let´s just say Hermana Ross doesn't like them and they don´t like her either.

Well, enjoy your week, I´m so glad to be serving a mission!

Love,

This week has been GREAT! Oh man I just love the sun, the spirit and Spain! Hahaha a lot of other things too but they´re at the top! This week has been really fun working with my companions and our investigators. I just love this area, it´s really amazing.

This week we had an experience that has changed my attitude, alot. We had a lesson lined up with an investigator and a member was coming to give her a blessing because she hasn´t been feeling well. We confirmed the appointment the day before but then the day of she didn´t show up. I was upset, mostly because I made this poor member take time out of his day for nothing. This member then took us to his house, made us a smoothie and shared a scripture. Doctrine and Covenants 123:17. I don´t have it in english with me but basically says we need to do things with a good attitude. I am grateful for his counsel and I am determined to have a better attitude always, no matter what.

This week though has actually been awesome. We have had great lessons and have been finding some really awesome people. We have exchanges this week so hermana Ross went to Mostoles and Hermana Vilariño and I stayed here with Hermana Brumble. It was cool and fun to get to know another sister better.

Also this week we have eaten at members houses a ton! The food was so good everywhere we ate. Especially the traditional Paella we had onTuesday! I love Spain!

Today for Pday we went to a park with a bunch of missionaries and had a water fight. It was EPIC! Haha, I love missionaries. I made some new friends so that was super cool.

Well, It looks to be a great week this week. WE are having transfers next week so we´ll see what´ll happen!

Hello everyone, sorry for not writing last week some crazy stuff happened and well I´ll tell you all about it.

So I am currently serving in a trio with Hermana Vilariño who´s from here in Spain and Hermana Ross who´s from Pennsylvania. They´re really great and Hermana Vilariño was in the MTC with me so we´re al good friends.

We have found out that our mission is gonig to receive Ipads to help us proselyte. WE received mission wide training this Thursday here in Madrid and everyone from the Canary Islands and the North came as well. It was great because I got to see Hermana Rossberg again! Also we had a very spiritual meeting and I am so excited to get my ipad in about a month. Basically the meeting was explaining that when we go home we are going to be using devices and that we on the mission will learn to use these devices well to be prepared to use them well when we get home and teach our families how to use them properly as well.

I was able to Skype my family yesterday which was so great! Happy mothers day to all the moms out there especially mine!

I love the Lord and His work and I am so grateful to be a part of it! Also I hit my halfway mark this week. Nine down, nine to go!

Apr. 27, 2015

We were bowling today so I don´t have a lot of time but please put this on the blog.

Well, Leganés is a lot colder than Las Palmas but the people here are really great. I love the ward, we have some really great members that help us out a TON! It´s so great to work with them.

This week we´ve been working a lot with a family that has a daughter that´s 19 and has cancer in her knee. They are wonderful and are really progressing. I love being in there home and seeing them come closer to Christ.

We also found out that next week as a mission we are receiving Ipads!!!! So excited, we´re having training on how to use them next week. I am so excited and will update you aall about how I can use it in regards to facebook and everything!

¡Tengan una buena semana!

Love you!

Leganés is great, it´s a very pretty old city and has a lot of history. I really enjoy the people here. My companion Hermana Welcker just finished being trained. This is her 3rd transfer on the mission. In our area there is 1 ward and they has their own free standing chapel. It´s really cool because the chapel in Las Palmas was part of an apartment building.

The spanish here is really different but really easy to understand so that´s good. I just have to get used to a few different words and I´m on my way. Also I´m working on changing the way I speak back to speakng like those here in Madrid using the ¨th¨sound and everything.

In our ward there are 8 missionaries. 4 elders and 2 other hermanas. All 4 of us hermanas live together, that´s really fun. Our piso is 2 floors and really cool too.

We have one really sweet investigator here, she´s 19 and has cancer in her knee. She´s going through chemotherapy right now and is sick a lot. I really love her and she´s is a very special spirit.

This area is a lot different than my last but it´s good. It´s starting to get hot here, let´s all pray I don´t melt onto the pavement.

I hope you all are having a good week and that you all are happy, because Heavenly Father really just wants us to be happy.

Love you all!
