This week was Hermana Trone´s second to last week! So basically it flew by faster than a jet plane. We did a lot but it was just so fast. I´m not sure where the time is going.

This week was more Carnaval so a lot of people didn´t have school and work. And for the Madrid temple each stake has 3 times a year (1 week each) where they go to the temple. It´s for the people who live far away like the people here on the islands. So a lot of the members who could afford it went to the temple this week. Oh man I am pretty jealous, I miss the temple. So we used a lot of the members who stayed but had no work or school. We went on splits on Monday and Saturday and that was really cool.

We have one investigator that is really solid, he just keeps on saying that it wasn´t a coincidence that we met... and all I say back is obviously it wasn´t!!! Haha he´s awesome and should be getting baptised the end of March. 

Another investigator we have from mormon.org finally came to the chapel! She´s been worried to but we had a musical devotional that us missionaries planned and she finally came to the chapel and met a bunch of people. I´m excited to see how she progresses because she´s only been investigating a couple of weeks.

Basically our musical devotional was the most exciting part of the week, lots of members participated, the spirit was really strong and a menosactivo came and  saw his daughter sing. It was a really great night.

Well this week has been Carnaval week. Carnaval is basically  a festival with lots of music, world famous Canarian Drag Queens, costumes and parades. Basically the streets have been insanely full or insanely empty this week. The only crazy part is that we live on the street where the parade goes so it is SOO dirty on that street and it was so loud that night. 

Since it was Carnaval we haven´t had a ton of lessons this week. Plus this week literally flew by! Where is the time? I feel as though it doesn´t even exist anymore. 

Anywho our one investigator is continuing to lower her dosage on the electronis cigarette so that´s good, she should be good to stop in about a month or so. We received a reference from mormon.org too. She´s super cool about 22 and was referenced to the website from a friend she has in Germany. Not sure who he is but I am grateful for his member missionary work! 

We had a ward party that was Carnavalentine themed! So basically a LOT of hearts and everyone in costumes. It was a lot of fun and a lot of members brought their friends!

We also had interviews with President Jackson. It was great that he was able to come and visit us. I´m grateful to have such great leadership here.

Also there was a baptism for our ward this week of an investigator the elders were teaching, it was really wonderful and he´s going to be a great addition to the ward.

This week has been a great week. WE´ve been teaching a lot this week which has been a breath of fresh air. We´ve been contacting and finding Menosactivos so much to find investigators and now that we´ve finally got some I love it! It´s great because it really helps my Spanish. Contacting is good because it makes me think on the spot but they´re not very long and so my vocabulary isn´t improving. But now we are teaching so that´s great.

We have 2 new investigators that are best friends, 21 years old and... CATHOLIC! And by Catholic I mean go to mass every week kind of Catholics, not the every person on the street here in Spain that just says Soy Catolica. They really go to mass every week which I´m not going to lie is kinda strange, especially because they let us teach them and they came to church last week. I love them a lot though and it´s hard to teach the doctrine because they have so many questions but it´s really good because I´m learning a LOT myself.

Miracle of the week: So we´re on our way to an area on the Guagua to do some menosactivo stop by's because this area has a billion and we haven´t been yet anyways we were at a bus station and Hermana Trone was like we need to get off and go to the area La Batan. It was the same to me so we left and while we were waiting for a Guagua A menosactivo that hasn´t answered our phone calls for about 2 months showed up! He is African and hasn´t been coming for at least 15 years. He was baptized in Nigeria and well doesn´t know the doctrine. Anyway we taught him the law of chastity on the bus ride. It was a really powerful lesson even though it was kind of odd.

Also we have an investigator that´s doing really well and is in the process of stopping smoking! So stoked for her and her kids.

WE went hiking for Pday today! This island is so pretty I love it here. 

I am having so much fun and I´m so grateful for my companion, have a ¡Buena semana!

Today was a good week, we have anew investigator that is progressing dramatically, he´s great and I´m so grateful that I have the opportunity to be here for him in this time of transition in his life.

We had achange this transfer in our district, 2 elders are new and it´s been fun getting to know them and mixing them in. One of them is a native spanish speaker which is really great so we can get help from him for spanish and it makes it so we need to speak spanish ALL the time because it used to be when it´s just us missionaries we´d all speak english. 

We´ve been having a lot of success with a lady that´s been off and on investigating for a LONG time. Her daughter was baptised by missionaries a while ago and then she got married to be prepared to live the law of chastity and now is working on quiting smoking. She´s doing really well, I hope and pray that her husband will start investigating with her soon to though. 

Also we helped another family with 2 kids that are baptised but the parents are not move to a building closer to the chaple and then they were there that Sunday! I think that´s promising that they´ll come now because they live close! It´s so important that those kids can live the covenants they´ve made!

One other cool story, we contacted a girl in the street the other day and met with her and her friend yesterday and her friend had contact with the church about 3 years ago. Anyways we´re going to meet with them again this week! SO excited!

I love this work and am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be serving!
